Throughout his forty year career, Steve has developed a formidable array of skills, photographing everything from fish to flowers, deadly snakes to urban architecture and culture, historical buildings to natural landscape, and way beyond. He is also an accomplished writer and video photographer. It is not just the broad range of subjects and styles that make his work unique; it is also the way he communicates with such clarity and enthusiasm. As Steve says, "Sharing is my passion - it is my reason for being".

Steve Parish is Australia's best known and most successful commercial photographer/ publisher. He has built and continues to direct a completely Australian company that publishes, promotes, sells and distributes hundreds of products, generated almost exclusively from his photographic images, in categories including guide and travel, natural history, general pictorial and inspirational. He is especially well known for, and particularly proud of, the enormous range of children's educational books.

For more than thirty years now, Steve's work has been published in a staggering variety of forms in most of the visual media. This prolific output is now an entrenched part of the Australian photography and publishing scene, and many people are touched by his evocative images.

Steve lives in the subtropical Queensland capital Brisbane where he spends around half of each year developing publications, the remaining time is spent in the field wandering Australia in search of new images.
